* Backup currently supports only MySQL Databases. Frecuency of backups and restores is the main defining factor for the Basic Plan. It is mostly popular with our hosting plans up to 5 domains. | All prices are subject to change without notice. In the event of a special promotion or coupon used at checkout, unless otherwise stated, the cost for renewal will default to the normal rate.
Connect your website to CodeGuard using your SFTP/MySQL information. Once connected, an initial backup will start automatically.
CodeGuard automatially monitors your website's files & databases for changes, performs backups and notifies you by email.
Restore your website's files & database to any previous backup version by downloading a zip file, performing an automatic or manual restore.
CodeGuard works behind the scenes. Which means you can turn it on and sit back while CodeGuard takes regular backups of your data.
Since CodeGuard is cloud-based, setting it up is a snap – simply add your website connection details to start the backup process.
Restore your website in the case of human error, cyber attacks, etc., using the multiple restore choices based on your codeguard plan.
CodeGuard monitors your website on a daily basis and detects all changes, regardless of how minute they are. Customers are sent a ChangeAlert email notifying them of the changes.
The Basic plan creates a backup image once every 5 days, if changes were registered since the last backup. For all other plans, the frecuency changes to daily.
While you can and should do a manual backup of your webiste after a major change, depending on the size of your site, this could be very time consuming. There is also the chance that your local backup dies (yes, it can happen). CodeGuard can be an extra line of defense, making automatic backups of your site and storing it directly on their cloud for easy retrieval by you. Having redundant backups with date and time can really save you in case of a catastrophe.
We use various methods of Backup, including CodeGuard. We do this in order to test services before offering them to you, as well as to keep backups in case disaster strikes. As they say: Better safe than sorry.
No you don't. The shared IP from your cloud or shared hosting account will work just fine. Same applies to VPS and Dedicated Servers.
Unless otherwise specified, CodeGuard is usually NOT compatible with website builders, because they run off of a different type of restricted hosting plan. If you refer to Content Management System (CMS) like Joomla or Wordpress; and E-Commerce engines like Magento or Prestashop running off of your hosting account, and you have FTP access to its home directory, then the answer is Yes.
At the moment you can only get a FREE Basic SSL Certificate with our Cloud Hosting plans. We will be implementing FREE Basic SSL to our Shared Hosting plans in the next few months. For VPS and Dedicated servers, you will have to buy an SSL certificate.
